Here’s a story. Google did something that made outbound Google Voice calls stop working in Asterisk around November 30th and I fixed it. End of story. Update to revision 297957 in asterisk 1.8 and you’ll get the fix, or just wait for the next 1.8 release.

This takes the idea behind Dial Confusion Part 1 to a more absurd level. Now I’m going to show you how to call multiple friends (assuming you have friends) and silently dump them into a conference room using your Google Voice account.

The squirrel app connects to Asterisk via AMI and randomly places a pitchshift effect on new calls as they come in. I’m pretty sure its the same effect that occurs when squirrels claw their way into your Asterisk box.

A few months ago I wrote a module for Asterisk called res_stun_monitor.c. Its pretty much the bomb if you are running Asterisk behind a dynamic IP.
